Help the quake and tsunami victims in Japan. Text REDCROSS to 90999 to donate $10 to the Red Cross.
You may also donate directly to the Red Cross here: [link]

My love to all those affected by this disaster.

She sent a boatload, so I'll try to keep adding the different varieties as often as I can.

I've also made a small cherry blossom charm for $5, where the entire purchase price will be donated to the American Red Cross.

ack, very very sorry about the multi-posts! something is very angry with deviantart in my browser. i tried to delete them, but apparently you can't do that if you're not the user who created the journal. O_o please feel free to hide them...

You're sweet for posting this sort of links. The only thing I'm sad about is that if the donated sum were a little smaller per message, or there'd be a few more options, I think some of the poor students and such would be more inclined to make donations, too.

(I've given a bit elsewhere, already. Can't text anyone at an U.S. number from where I'm at. :()

It's actually better to donate directly, as the money gets where it needs to be faster.

Most "donate to <country>" text message services are just sadly too expensive for a lot of people. $10 can feed a thrifty person for several days, while a $4 text message for a student can mean you just give up one latte that week. A bit of marketing logics applied to charity. ;)

I'm happy people are remembering to share of what little they have, and spread the word so that more people will keep on helping. Rekindles my faith in mankind. :)

You are amazing Marcy!

Spreading the word on your amigurumi stuff, and also helping out other groups with their sales for donations!
